Your gateway to our world and the universe – Located in an old water tower in Stadtpark, Planetarium Hamburg offers unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages.

The heart of the Planetarium, the “Sternensaal”, is a big projection room underneath the dome of the building, fully equipped with the newest technology like 3D viewing and audio, digital cosmos-simulator, 8K resolution or the world’s biggest show laser and lighting installation.

Being considered of most modern planetariums of the world, Planetarium Hamburg currently offers 24 different shows about our world, cosmos and the stars. Most shows are also available in English, some are additionally offered in Spanish or French.

Excerpt from the shows:

See You on the Dark Side of the Moon” is a tribute to Pink Floyd and involves a performance in which musical classics of the band are combined with laser beam effects, three-dimensional images and pictures projected on the huge dome-screen.

Aurora – Lights of Wonder” not only lets visitors experience the Aurora in 4k x 4K real-time VR video but learn everything about the phenomenon.

Kaluoka’hina – the enchanted reef” is an endearing story dedicated to the protection of the oceans, in which the protagonists go on a quest to save their beloved reef. Recommended for children aged 6 and up.
